With over 30 years of experience in education, Julie Salcedo is dedicated to equipping educators of multilingual learners. Since 2013, she has been an education consultant specializing in English Language Development (ELD), delivering dynamic and practical professional development to K-12 educators across various states including Arizona and California. Her work provides teachers with high-impact strategies for multilingual learners in both mainstream content areas and targeted English development classes.

Julie’s diverse career includes roles as a district ELD coach, curriculum writer, bilingual corporate trainer, classroom teacher, ELD pull-out specialist, and multi-age teacher at an international academy. Her commitment to advancing education is showcased in her published work in Language Arts. She holds a Master’s in Bilingual Education from Arizona State University, and her expertise in linguistics and instructional best practices allows her to demonstrate how ELD methods promote effective language acquisition. 

As the creator of Powerful Writing Instruction, a program implemented in Arizona schools, Julie has designed robust writing opportunities that benefit all students. A bilingual and biliterate educator, she brings perspective and firsthand experience of learning in two languages that gives insight into how to accelerate language learning.

Originally from New Jersey, Julie now resides in Phoenix, where she continues her work supporting educators and multilingual learners alike.
